The ReikiTreatment

James Himm Mitchell is the Founder of The Reiki Treatment. He is a Reiki Master-Practitioner.
James began his relationship with the energy of Reiki when he began to receive Reiki regularly at a Reiki
clinic in his area a few years ago. He enjoyed the benefits Reiki gave him. One benefit was a calm and
relaxed state. Another benefit he received was being able to see Angels, who he says "would come in, tell
me their names and leave." He also would experience the presence of Spirit Helpers assisting the Reiki
practitioners giving him Reiki; he would often feel them holding his hands, feet, or head well after the
practitioner was finished.

James had been encouraged by people at the clinic to become a practitioner. He didn't think Reiki was for
him in this capacity, as he was already an established intuitive consultant, operating his successful company,
Dreams and Visions, which offers dream interpretation and Tarot reading services. After some gentle
prompting from the Reiki Master/Teacher who operates the clinic, James finally took the Reiki Level One
class she was teaching. To his amazement, and his Teacher's amusement, everyone in the class thought he
was already a Reiki Practitioner; "I got the message the Universe was sending," he says.That was the
beginning of his love for Reiki. "While I had an appreciation for it as a recipient, I fell in love with it as a
practitioner," he says. "It totally changed my life."

James began volunteering at the clinic faithfully. He would read anything and everything about Reiki. He also was committed to his process of
self-healing by giving himself regular Reiki treatments. His motto is to "heal myself, so I can be a better healer to others. It is important that I am a
clear channel for the Reiki, as it comes through me first to get to its recipient."
James cultivatred his relationship with Reiki energy, to the point where he feels it communicates to him. "I can feel the Reiki within me turn itself
on when I just think about or talk about it with others. It always feels warm to hot, but not in a bad way; I actually like it when it's 'on'."
James was led by synchronistic events to start offering Reiki as a service to those outside the walls of the clinic (which he still volunteers at) as a
part of his Reiki practice. "I'm a believer in signs from the Universe, and I was being directed to do this, to form The Reiki Treatment."

James works with the Reiki energy first by setting the intention that the Reiki will "go where it needs to go, and do
what it needs to do. I trust and know this, and affirm it at the start of a session."
He asks the recipient if there are any particular areas of interest or concern that require the attention of the Reiki.

James likes to create a relaxing and peaceful atmosphere with candles and soft music. "While they are not required, these things help the
process."
Something James has experienced in his Reiki practice is the crossing over of his intuitive abilities from his work with Dreams and Visions into
this work. "The skills I developed reading Tarot have made their way here." James' clairvoyant and clairaudient abilities can allow him to see
images and hear messages for the recipient. He can also see Angels and Guides during a session.
This crossing over has gone the other way as well: James can now feel the Reiki energy turn itself "on" during the course of a Tarot reading. "It's
the most amazing thing; at first, I thought these abilities were mutually exclusive, but my experiences are showing me their inter-connectedness."
